Jeff Wilson broke the news that Milton Bradley is a Type B free agent. That's obviously a disappointment in terms of getting draft pick compensation. However, this means the Rangers are more likely to offer Bradley arbitration, since he's more likely to get bigger offers from teams not wanting to give up their first round pick in the draft next year for him. The most likely scenario at this point is that Bradley signs elsewhere, and the Rangers get a supplemental first round pick in exchange.
Lone Star Ball has their usual morning roundup. The most interesting part is about Mike Maddux likely returning to the Brewers.
LoneStarDugout has a great article on prospect Ryan Tatusko. Tatusko was a 2007 draft pick, and faired pretty well at Clinton. If he's going to stay in a starting rotation next year, someone's going to have to get hurt, though.
Joe Siegler has his take on Ranger free agents. It's some good takes on each of the ones that filed yesterday.
TR Sullivan says the Rangers will target pitching at the GM meetings. He says catchers and Hank Blalock will be on the short list to be dealt away, with only Major League-ready pitching being the targeted return. I personally am in favor of showing Jarrod Saltalamacchia the door.
Baseball Time in Arlington writes about their transition to a new format and other notes in their Tuesday Morning Rangers Notes.
Mike Hindman has his #6-10 RH Starters up on the DMN blog. There's also news about Josh Hamilton's award and the fact that Julio Borbon and John Bannister made the AFL Rising Stars Game on the blog today.
Richard Durrett writes about Josh Hamilton being named the AL's top player by the players.
EMC compared what Rick Peterson had to work with in Oakland compared to what he could have in Texas in her blog last night.
Lone Star Ball continues to discuss rumblings on Jake Peavy with a quick note on Buster Olney's blog about Peavy's no-trade clause. There was also a mention of Boston's desire for Texas catching.
